After much thought we finally decided to get ourselves a pup, and with a Springer/Collie Labrador cross, we certainly didn't do it by halves!!!!! As to be expected Rocky has certainly been a bundle of energy but right from the start we have had Sallys support, from choosing the right products to feed/play and house him in, right through to the plan specific to him to ensure he settles into our home perfectly.
He is now 10 weeks old and by following Sallys steps he has already turned from a hyperactive, chaotic nightmare into a pup who is calming down and actually listening and obeying us! He can even sit, do paw and spin round on the spot!
Without Sallys help I am certain we would have no sofa or garden left but we are very pleased to report both are still very much intact!
I wouldn't even entertain getting a pup without Sallys help, and by having her from the off for one of her puppy consultations, we have managed to get off on the right foot straight away. She spent 2 hours with us assessing his personality and how we were with him oursleves, and came up with a plan specific to us and our dog, and its our bible, we wouldn't be without it!
And to know she is there on the end of the phone to calm you down during particually mad moments is so invaluable, simply without her we would have been in such a mad nightmare!!!!
So the biggest thanks ever to Sally, and anyone who is reading this and thinking of getting a dog, please please get Sally in first!!!!!

Calling Sally was the best thing I could have done in regards to sorting me, my family and Dash (the family dog) out. Dash is a Border collie cross lab and as of now is 2 years and a couple of months old. He has always been beautiful and faithfull to me but I was begining to find his behvaiour just too stressful that it was really making me unhappy. He was so nervous that he could be aggressive to strangers and other dogs. It was really getting to me. So much so, that after an annual visit to the vets I had enough. The vet could see how upset I was and recommended Sally. From that point I have never looked back.
Sally seemed to instantly understand the problems I was experiencing and gave me so much sound advice and encouragement. She was incredibly friendly and made me feel relaxed and even Dash (which prior to our meeting was near impossible!).
Many of Dash's bad behaviours and anxieties dervived from me and my family which were explained to me in a clear and meaningful way. Sally has considered our lifestyle and has got fantastic advice about how you can create a happier dog (this includes ideas for children which I was especially grateful for, having an excitable young son myself!).
The meeting in itself was very detailed. And packed with so many tips which Sally often demonstrated. To back up this meeting she sent me a report which was really useful and was personalised to our family situation. Plus she is so quick to reply to my emails, I feel like I have fantastic support.
Dash is constantly improving and our understanding of him has dramatically changed. He is definitely on the road to being a happier dog I am pleased to say. It is a long road and we do have a fair way to treck but I am actually enjoying it. So everyone wins!
I have always loved Dash but it is only now that I am really begining to enjoy him. |

Sally came to see me and my very nutty 4 year old Boxer, Henry. Henry and I had multiple 'issues' making both him and I very stressed. Sally gave me loads if ideas during the visit and backed everything up in a report (and multiple emails after I asked for more help) afterwards.
Henry's behaviour has certainly changed for the better, I took him to the vet about 3 weeks into his behaviour plan and he didn't have to be muzzled for the first time ever!
One of our other problems was his over excitement with visitors, I had my friend over for the first time last week and he was able to remain calm and actually listened to what I was telling him to do, a major achievement!
I knew for ages that I needed help with Henry but put it off because I thought it would be really difficult and wouldn't be worth it, how wrong that was! Sally's ideas were easy to follow in our day to day life so the new behaviour regime slotted in easily.
Henry's still got a way to go but I feel confident that we will be able to achieve great things with Sally's continued support, many many thanks Sally, you've saved my sanity and Henry's!! |
